When i was a kid, i remembered him in Baby's Day Out and i thought he looked an awful lot like Fulmer.

he might have been a vandy man but I saw him and Lorrie Morgan come out of Neyland after a game many years ago. He'll be missed greatly.

Very sad to hear this. Great man. His mother went to our church growing up and he would visit when he was in town. Rest in Peace

He was one hell of a guy and a great Tennessean. I believe that he was one of the greatest politicians we ever had. I loved how he narrated the Decade of Dominance. I admired him greatly. RIP.

Fred and my father were in TTLA together. Fred was always good to our family. Dad was fortunate to help Fred in Washington County during the election years. Sen Thompson's red truck could would often be at the house, due to our close prox to the Airport.

Years later, i was working on a school video project. we were filming a senior class project. senator thompson was staying at the Carnegie Hotel. i told his manager who i was, he immediately stopped what he was doing and invited myself and my classmates into his suite. Impromptu, Fred was in our senior class project. (He was clearly the best actor).

Throughout the years, despite his political affiliation, and obvious successes he always remembered who i was and never turned up his nose at anyone. he was always kind, generous, and beyond humble.

RIP Fred Thompson. It took a helluva guy to get me to vote for a Republican! They dont make em like that any more.
