Free text alerts on NSD

I will be on a plane and in airports most of the day on NSD. Are any of the sites doing the free text alerts this year? I got them last year but I cant remember who they came from. It was really convenient. Thanks!

Yeah.. Go to govolsextra.com and go to the very bottom of the page.. You will see Text Alerts.. Then just select UT Vols in the selection

GVX is actually pretty quick on the draw about those. It's quite nice.

I, personally, think NSD should be declared a national holiday.

I signed up for this yesterday and I didn't receive a text about Neal or Crump. Did anyone esle? Just wondering.

We likely won't accept Crump until late on NSD, if he has in fact been offered and verbally committed.

None of that last sentence is verified or confirmed correct, however.

How's that for an answer?

So for this texting service (myknoxnews), I will only get a text when they official sign. Not when a player commits or de-commits. I saw articles on Neal and didn't receive a text saying that he committed. Just wanted to see how this texting service works and if anyone got a text about Neal.

I don't know about this texting service.

I set up Rucker and a few others on my phone's twitter app, so I should get 'em that way.

Hopefully someone else can help you out with the texting answer.

I see, I will look into that as well. I just want to be hooked up because I will be in training all day on NSD and want to get updates. I though I would have gotten one last night or this morning but didn't receive any.

Just signed up on GVX. This and the first day of March Madness are by far the least productive days around my office. Wed. will be a very interesting day because I've got Florida, State, Bama, Ole Miss, Auburn, Arky, & LSU fans/alums under one roof along with myself and a couple more UT folks.

The 68255 service is only for LOI signees on NSD, the Govolsxtra is a general news type of service. The only thing about Govolsxtra is that they are selective about what they send I got texts about the coaching hires, one when Loften announced he was going to visit USC, and a couple of the comitments (Nance and Stanley) , so its hard to say what they'll decide is "news worthy", but it's still handy to have. (internet, if possible would be TONS better)
