This is the price we have all paid when we live in a Country of Freedoms.
Any Group on either side can call foul and has the right to do so.
Sure it is their right to do so but is it really warranted. I am so tired of the Extremes pushing the Agenda and the thought of having a month dedicated in support of such causes is quite frankly ridiculous.
I don't drink Bud light nor do I shop at Target so it is a wash.
The Supreme Court made rulings on the several Causes and those groups made significant grounds in Human Rights areas. So much that we have renamed Historical Army Posts, replaced Statues, busts, allowed more choas in areas that we should not have even given up due to the I got my foot now I am taking a yard. This is all due to the extremes pushing their own agendas.
The leadership of this Country Needs to drop the Hammer and drop it hard.
Or better yet lets have an Average Male/Female Month for the Average Janes & Joes that do a hero's type job on a daily basis which holds this country together.
As someone put it today this is out of hand and just whacked to have to concede every time to another group for the sake of a cause that has already been given more than it should be.
I don't care if you are whatever just move on and quit asking for a hand out or more consensus and nonsense.

But no, they cannot do that. By definition, progressives can never stop. "The ladder is all there is." For them, there is no end of the rainbow, only a final end like Orwell's Winston Smith.

That is because the true thought leaders of the movement are engaged in a spiritual war for the very souls of mankind. Do you think their leader will refrain? Then do not be surprised when his minions' puppets continue to carry on his purposes.

I am not sure whether your gripe is with the gays or the blacks.

As to military bases being renamed, perhaps we are just realizing that honoring men who fought for the right to enslave people was not appropriate.

So all bases or places named after men who fought for or supported slavery should be renamed?

It's history it is just one of the many parts of which this country was built upon. Might as well rename rivers and the other Landmarks named after the Brit's. We could remove a lot of landmark names associated with General's and President's because of their personal beliefs and actions during wars. History is History and serves as a remainder of where we were at that time and we should never forget. You let should never correct History, you should never forget it, but erasing it is just weakness.

I don't have a problem with either group, as long as they stay in their lane. What has happened is they have exceeded the correction and demanded more in return. Pushed the envelop and some groups have responded. Gay Rights is a great example, Supreme Court granted rights now they want more and have opened it up to gain more openness and recruitment for their cause. It works both ways with Radical Extremes.

As for renaming posts, hell no leave it the same and live with it. Why, History.

What's more, do you think the Military History should take out all the association of Military Doctrine and tactics out of it's manuals associated with Nathan Bedford Forrest because of his KKK connection. He didn't even want the title. Answer is No don't remove it from Military Doctrine on how to fight the Calvary.

OK, but who cares about all that, really? The names of things change for various reasons. Washington and Lee might have its days numbered, but it had 4 other names before it was Washington and Lee. Should we lament that we don't remember it as Augusta or Liberty Hall? We change our values and change our minds about the heroes we worship. None of this is that important, in the grand scheme of things.

What is your worry about having an unofficial pride month? Or black history month? The irony of you asking for recognition of your group while decrying the recognition of others...make it make sense. There are great perks of being in the majority but not everything is going to go your way, and the same can be said for being a minority.
