i've been watching some documentaries on freemasons and how they supposedly designed DC with a lot of masionic symbols. it is very interesting and compelling. I wasn't sure if you guys have seen any of this, but it's pretty interesting.

I've seen that, I personally think its bunk, but the show did definitely catch your attention. Interesting stuff.

yeah, i love watching that stuff on the history channel, cant get enough of it.

i didn't really believe it from the History channel, but i watched another video that made from a Christian perspective. it provided great detail of the construction and then gave a history of each symbol and how freemasons used it as symbols. they do a good job of connecting pieces.

Freemasonry has a lot of great history to read, but television makes it out to be a little more glamorous than what it is. Conspiracy theorist have a field day with it. If you have any questions let me know, maybe I can help.

I don't have any questions. i do think it's very how the capital was designed. it is also interesting that the capital is full of statues and painting of pagan and greek gods, though we're supposed to be a Christian nation.

Read Dan Browns book "The Lost Symbol." It is based in DC, and it is a great read. It is fiction but there is alot of true masonic symbology and facts in it. It tells a lot of masonic history and all about the capital building.

Is it a hell of a lot better than Da Vinci Code? If not, I won't waste my time.

and that somehow precludes the use of mythological figures in Capitol architecture?

there are plenty of biblical representations around DC as well.

Makes one wonder if their assumptions are wrong, huh? Nah, can't be.

there is a video that i'm watching from a Christian film producer who is questioning that very assumption. they did a lot of research on the writing of our most famous founding fathers and they're saying the same thing too.
