Can it be?

"The thing about Wes is he's quick, he's athletic, he's blocked big guys' shots," head coach Cuonzo Martin said following Friday's opening workout. "He's quick with the ball, he pushes the ball and he's a point guard who loves to find his shooters and his big guys.

"He has a high level of energy and a high level of passion. He loves to play, always has a smile on his face. He's fun to be around."

A PG that can play offense AND defense effectively? What's that like?

Do we have anyone this year who can shoot?

I'm expecting noticeable improvement with Golden and McRae in that department. Also, you can't discount Tatum if he finds his stroke and plays consistently. Possibly Woolridge if he doesn't redshirt.

I'm guessing all of these things under the assumption that the bball staff puts shooting drills and exercises on high-priority.

Woolridge is not redshirting. He is a senior. He is hoping to get a medical redshirt for last season in hopes on gaining another year of eligibility for 2012.
