This is the type of fun thing that has happened on Pearl's teams of the past...it's hard to explain how the team mood has changed so fast and for the better...Thursday night is gonna be a great game, I believe.

I hope they are getting cohesive at the right time.

Lets all hope so. I'd really love to see this team start playing to their best ability.

LOL at Woolridge in a 3-point shooting contest. FYI: he ranks exactly 10th in team 3-point percentage (28%). . . .and we are terrible from 3 this year. Another interesting observation: 68 of 89 of Wool's attempts have been from behind the arc. Wow.

In Renaldo's defense, Pearl wants him to be a "Catch-and-stick'' guy and shoot beyond the arc. He's not doing anything outside of what the head coach wants, and he has really started to be careful with his shot selection -- maybe even too careful lately.

Woolridge is a great talent, but playing at game speed and hitting shots in practice are two different things.

I still think he's an outstanding prospect who will fare well at UT -- the offseason will do wonders for him because he is an incredibly hard worker and dedicated student.

Maybe so, but most of us still gasp when he squares up.

He's a good three point shooter - well atleast decent. The reason he's shooting so badly % wise is because after the first few games when he was hot he started taking retarded shots were he was guarded/off balance/early in the shot clock/etc.

I'd be willing to wager that Woolridge has more 3 pt attempts than dribbles..

I understand your skepticism, but at the beginning of the season, a lot of people were wondering if he could be part of the missing 3-pt. void.

He has definitely fallen off the map lately, but his timing has to be off with the lack of minutes.

He'll be fine later on but I agree now he is an after thought, but with a caveat.

He's gonna be like his pop. He'll try to take over games eventually. If you can plug that into the team concept you will have a winner.

Nice read, but the title of the thread almost made me afraid to open it.

Great read, but man do I miss JaJuan and Chris. This team is not even close to a threat from 3-point range and it is painful to watch sometimes. However, I think we'll only get better from here and I'm ready to see our guys go dancing!

How do you see it playing out? Shut down Downey, UT wins? I believe regardless of Downey's production, we have to have Chism and gang pound it inside. A hot Hopson would help that cause.
