With the Wilcox rumors out there this is a job that I could see there being mutual interest. I have no basis for that opinion other than he is a west coast guy and that is the type school that might have interest in him. Anybody know who is being mentioned for the opening?

From what I'm hearing, he turned it down because, as usual, Memphis isn't willing to make a commitment to the football program and upgrade facilities and personnel. I don't think very many are pleased with the new hire.

From what I heard on Gary Parrish's show here in Memphis, McElwain (sp?) wanted a million and Memphis was only offering 700k. He said no thanks.

He was at Fresno before correct? If so I would assume its his job to turn down. To add to that if he was willing to accept Memphis for the right price I would assume he would take FS.
