I am going to start this thread for discussion of any big high school games and also so we can track area prospects and other vol commits to see how they performed. Please help contribute. Thanks.

Loudon plays Alcoa this week.

Talk about tough, Alcoa is 1-2 having lost to the potential 3A champion Fulton and the probably 4A champion Maryville.

I remember my high school destroyed you guys when you had that Scooter guy at RB. It was funny, because you guys scored first and everyone was taunting our fans. Hilariously, there were no more Jeff County scores.

scooter houston lol, yeah where did you go......i never cared how good our football team was, my senior year i always spent my weekend in knoville for games or basically just to party, so i think i made it to a few games.....but obviously if you remeber his name he mustve had yall thinking even though "you killed" he was a year younger then me

Gallatin High School (5A, Middle TN) is currently 3-0, and unscored upon. Additive score for the first 3 games is 78 - 0 I think. And they're not playing cupcake schools.

They've also had a game where the opposing team was held to negative yardage for the game. They've got some disruptors on defense.

Gatlinburg-Pittman plays Happy Valley this weekend....We're 3-0 and we absolutely crushed Pigeon Forge last week 45-12....So hopefully this weekend will go great.....My Highlanders beat Happy Valley, our VOLS beat the gators, the Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins the race this weekend...that'd make for a great weekend

I went to Dobyns-Bennett. I remember Scooter because he also wrestled. We played Sevier County pretty frequently, too. We usually handled them. They had the worst referees ever, though. Talk about home-cooking. They beat us one year while I was there. This guy "caught" a pass to convert on 4th down and keep their final, game-winning drive alive. The problem was, he made the catch about 2 yards out of bounds. There was a lot of booing. Of course, when they scored the game-winning TD they taunted for like 5 minutes, but there was no celebration penalty. The stuff high school refs get away with is ridiculous.

The speed on the defense is unbelieveable. I'll tell you something else too. J.T. Ferrell at QB has got a serious arm if Coach Lassiter would ever let him use it. He completed a sideline route this past week over the top of the DB that was a good 40 yards in the air.

Anyone playing against Columbia. Middle Tennessee area, beware of refs!Even though we won, the refs were escorted off the field into a van where they sped away after the game (if that tells you anything)!:angry:

Harrison Smith High is playing my school this week. Smith probably won't get much playing time as the game will be decided by the end of the first quarter.

i'm not from tennessee i just started going to UT this year but one game that looks to be a good one is october 13th when catholic and harrison smith play knoxville fulton

CoachT.com has live score updates. Members have to post scores so not all of them are updated but maybe the ones you are interested in might be.:thumbsup:
