Garden Tomb Threatened by Muslim Construction
"Above Golgotha, in the last few days - bucket by bucket, load by load - a lot of dirt has been imported above the rock and below those graves on the skyline." he added. "I've known for some weeks that they were thinking of building a minaret up there."
Meryon wants to make sure Golgotha and the Garden Tomb remain intact.
"This is a very important Christian holy site," he said. "And we just want to live here in peace and provide this amazing opportunity for Christians all around the world to come here and continue to worship and be exposed to the gospel."
Muslims Resume Building on Christian Graveyard in Pakistan
After inspecting the site, the administrative officers issued directives to stop the illegal encroachments, and for a few days the construction was halted, he said.
But despite the stay orders of stopping construction, the Muslim men restarted construction over the Christian graves on August 27, Zia said.
Khalid Gill, chief organizer of APMA in Punjab Province, said that Muslim leaders threatened Christians who objected to the construction.
They threatened that in case Christians protested against the resumption of construction they would also carry out a protest rally against Christians, and Muslim clerics said Christians would be responsible for the consequences, Gill said.
In Pakistan killing the infidel means other Muslims
It turns out that religious minorities in that country, especially Muslim minorities are being attacked with impunity and are being denied relief from the devastating floods. Thirty one Shiites were slaughtered, and more than 200 wounded in three Sunni terrorist bombings earlier this week. A senior Pakistani security official told TIME that the attacks were ordered by Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, a Sunni extremist group with deep ties to al-Qaeda and the Pakistani Taliban. For such groups, it is not only legitimate to attack other Muslim sects but even a virtue to do so during Islam's holy month of Ramadan.
Another Muslim minority sect, the Ahmedi, have also been attacked as well as denied relief aid. As the floodwaters submerged vast tracts of southern Punjab, some 500 Ahmedi families were among those driven from their homes and forced to seek shelter in makeshift camps. But unlike the other flood victims, they were denied access to relief aid, members of the community and human rights groups say. "The local mullahs told the civil administration not to give them any help," says Shahid Ataullah, a senior member of the Ahmedi community. "They said, 'You don't dare do this. These people should be left to fend for themselves because they are non-Muslims.'"

Yet, President Obama denies that we are at war with this kind of Islamic radicalism. He wont even use the terminology.
