On Sept. 30th, they had an article mentioning something about our new basketball uniforms. If anyone has an account, would you be so kind to post inserts from that article? I'm sure alot of us would love to know what kind of changes the uni's will have.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure that they're really going to go through with this, I didn't get that impression reading the article. Joshua Smith came up with these concepts..

the black is disgusting, but i really like the others. i saw that picture a while back. the beginning of the article in the KNS said something about a "Power T" i believe.

I like all of them. I think the black ones are a good "change of pace". Black uniforms seem to have gotten popular, and I would like to see us sporting them, even if it is just a couple of times a year.

NO BLACK... tennessee's colors are ORANGE and WHITE not ORANGE, WHITE, and BLACK. I've been fearing this for a couple of years now. it will then bleed over into football and who knows where else. the only place black belongs is on UT's baseball team.

They wore the white ones at Media day today. Looked great, and I believe Black is only for neutral site games, so Thompson-Boling will not see them this year. Think how odd the black uni's could look in the renovated Thompson-Boling with the new black seats next year...

The only thing we will be able to see is TENNESSEE.

Cool ideas. I don't really mind the black, and I don't really see what the issue is with having an "alternate" uniform. I'd like to see it go to the players for a decision. If they like 'em, and Coach BP is down, let 'em rip!

The checkerboard is sweet, but I personally don't like the black...even on the baseball team.

but i thought UT's colors were orange and white. why should it be ok for the baseball team but not the other teams?

The black will never reach the football team. One reason they're considering it for basketball is because of the lack of tradition, nothing is set in stone when it comes to UT basketball.

Like it or not, a lot of recruits pay attention to the uniforms along with everything else. So I don't see anything wrong with the black. From what I understand, it's not like they plan to make it the official uniform. I believe they're only talking about bringing it out 2 or 3 times a year. Not a big deal.

Black is a nice addition, imo. Probally won't see it much at all, but hey, they can be unique for a few games. :)

As trivial as it may seem uniforms are a recruiting tool! Pearl knows this, his salesmanship has worked wonders so far so like it or not I'm not gonna challenge his decision to go with black! I too was hoping for gray ala the Phenoix Suns. Besides it may become a tradition of its own...a rallying point for fans and players alike.... utt oh they got on the black! or they could get their a$$e$ beat and never wear them again!
