Frost to UCF

It makes sense. He made something happen in Orlando football for the first time since Daunte Culpepper was drafted. He's probably the best choice interested in the job.

Nebraska isn't going to be a consistent winner in the big10. Not much to say or do there. The TX talent pipeline dried up when they left the big12. You can't inject talent into players with a syringe now that roids are monitored.

Remember, Bo Pelini won 67 games in 7 seasons, and he wasn't good enough for their next level big10 push that went nowhere after he was let go. He was next level bad with the press, but must have been a very effective head coach.

I bet he fails again

Wrong. In 2013 George O'Leary went 12-1 and won the Fiesta bowl

I would add that when Frost went undefeated, it was mostly with O'Learys players.

O'Leary was always really streaky at UCF. They would win 10-11 games and then the next year go 4-8. Next year back to 10 wins.

Frost just basically followed the same university pattern. He may do well there, but I'm not expecting much more than mid at best.

I don't see him going 13-0 again in his second act.

But if Schiano could get Rutgers respectable again in his return there, then Frost should be able to win again at UCF.

Going to be a disaster imo. Rarely works when teams bring back a former coach and try to recreate the last. So many better options out there that are winning right now and have led a program in the last 5 years.

I hope Frost has figured out some stuff. There were some pretty tough stories about his personal life in Lincoln, which led to his downfall.

But Schiano is a program builder and the right man for any job….

He's the right man for the Rutgers job. I'm not going to make any negative comments about him because I do think he is a good coach. I also think certain coaches are better fits in some jobs. You don't hire Rich Rodriguez to coach Michigan, even though he's a good coach. Neither should you hire Mike Price to coach Alabama, even though Price was good at Washington State. Phil Fulmer was great at Tennessee, but you wouldn't have hired him to coach Miami. Similar thing with Bret Bielema--kicks ass in the B1G, not so hot anywhere else.

Rutgers got a coach back who knows how to win there. And Tennessee thankfully found a coach who fits and can win here. All's well in Piscataway and in Knoxville.

UCF Football announced on Tuesday afternoon that McKenzie Milton, a former UCF quarterback and Tennessee analyst since 2023, has accepted a job to be the quarterbacks’ coach for the Knights as a part of Scott Frost’s new UCF coaching staff.

Rich Rod and Frost are as good those programs get in 2024.
I think Dan Mullen is a real catch for UNLV.
