I hope the entire Mizzo team reads and believes this article. I don't mind being overlooked. I actually prefer it.

Why is anybody upset with this article? I have full believe in Butch & Co. but this team this year hasn't even been descent on the road. The best this team played this year on the road was at UF and we all know how well that went. Quit getting mad about articles that hit the nail on the head. GBO!

Think about what you are actually trying to illustrate: UT went on the road to Oregon (#2 team in the country), on the road to Tuscaloosa (#1 team in the country), and in between those two played a game against Florida IN THE SWAMP (and before Florida's wheels totally came off).

Name a team, any team, that you actually think could play in those three stadiums in one half of one season, and look considerably better?

This thread took off! I'm glad to see VN was as pissed as I was when I read that article. It's one thing to say he thinks Mizzu will win, but to act like our chances are no better than against bama makes no sense. Does he not realize we just Beas USC 2 weeks ago?

If I am CBJ I post this article on the bulletin board and constantly remind them at practice that they might as well not show up for Missouri as they are as dominate as BAMA. Then once they're thorough sick of it, I say let's take them out the back of the woodshed and show them what UT football really is and beat them like a rented mule. I could see Pig, North and Croom having big, breakout games.

that almost reads as if Missouri's defense is so much better than Alabama's that if we struggled with Alabama how will we compete with Missouri. That's a bit of a stretch to put those two defenses together

Missouri does have a good D though.

It really makes me sick how our schedule is being used against us.

If we traded Oregon for Tulane and Bama for Miss St, we're 6-2 and the national media is raving about how great of a job CBJ is doing. But instead, we played the two teams that are head and shoulders above everyone else, and that makes us suck.

Is that a shot at Auburn's schedule? If so, I like it. Let's take it out on them.

But first...Missouri!

Hmmm, point well taken. At the same time, I think the VOLS could have looked considerably better against all three, let alone some other team.

I will say this...against bammer we at least looked much, much better in the second half. Could not say that about Oregon or Florida, so hopefully that represents progress.

Jones in his presser today stated that we were in fact capable of playing better than we did in the first half vs bammer, and I believe it.

Because this is vn and regardless of how bad we get beat vn always makes excuses and says every one hates us because they don't believe we will win on a given sat..

I agree TN hasn't shown they can win on the road in two years but now we r being overlooked....

My favorite part of the article....

"Not to overlook Kentucky, Well Ok we are going to overlook Kentucky"

Missouri presents some matchup nightmares for our defense. We bring that same gameplan from last week then it won't be a challenge for them. Got to get some pressure on that qb, and get up on those receivers and jam them every once in a while.. You let those big receivers for Missou get a free release every play then this will get ugly quick..

It looked better when you posted it. :)

Again, I care not what they say. Butch....makes all the difference.

Mizzou's defense didn't impress me at all in the 4th quarter. Conner Shaw tore them up

If they play that 2 deep zone against us, with the protection he'll get, Dobbs could set a record for a true freshman QB.

I want The Vols to win this one bad. The company I work for just bought out another company in St Louis and the folks that came over from their have been talking some trash.

Go ahead and look past us Mizzu. You may be in for a reality check come Saturday.
