They are both (Nick and Shane) listed on the 2005 Farragut football roster as FB/LB, but not K. I read that Fuad was a LB in high school. I think they are just a year apart in age and probably JR and SR in high school, so why haven't I heard anything about the Reveiz leagacy continuing at UT? Even if they aren't interested in carrying it on, I'm suprised I haven't heard it come up for the last couple years. Anyone have any insight or opinion?

It somehow seems wrong for a kicker to have sons who play defense.

Fuad was pretty sturdily built for a kicker.

Do we know if he has any aspirations of kicking?

Thanks! Seems like we saw that little saying alot more often 15 or 20 years ago.

He was a great one. But alas still a kicker.

Reveiz is being recruited by Mississippi State and North Carolina. UT also has shown interest. Reveiz bench pressed 405 pounds and squatted 515, both Farragut linebacker records.

Any word on the younger son's talent? I'm guessing he's a junior.

More UT alumi relatives:

Just take a cross-town trip to Powell and you'll find the prospect with the best lineage and maybe the most potential in the state. Lee Smith committed to UT in February. He'll play tight end and defensive end for the Panthers.

Smith's father, Daryle Smith, played six years in the NFL after his UT career concluded in 1986. He is now a coach at Powell. College recruiters are quick to point out that Daryle Smith's 6-6, 245-pound son has only begun to tap into his potential.

Speaking of lineage, Tyrone Cobb's surname was a household football name before he was out of diapers. Cobb's brother, Reggie, played running back at UT from 1987-89.

Tyrone Cobb plays linebacker and fullback for the Falcons. The 6-0, 230-pound Cobb is being recruited by UT, Penn State and Alabama.

I remember the Cobb-Webb days, but I didn't realize the family was from this area...or did they move here when Reggie came?

UT has many "greats" that I'm sure we forget when talking about UT family legacies. I just asked about Reveiz because a fairly new Vol fan ran into one of the sons today and asked me why he should know that name. And the way we talk about the Colquitts, I was suprised I haven't heard the same chatter about the Reveiz kids.

I saw him play for my HS alma mater earlier in the fall and can assure you that he is, in fact, a hoss. Not your prototypical "kicker's son," but then again, Fuad was no typical kicker.

Fuad Reveiz *sigh* I had the biggest crush on him back in the day.

If his sons have as much talent as he did when he played for the VOLS, I would love for his sons to be VOL players too! I wouldn't care what position they played.
