Rick Barnes hopes John Fulkerson will be available for Tennessee basketball vs. Auburn

I would strongly consider sitting him tomorrow. He didn’t look right in the Missouri game and we need him healthy and ready to go for the sec tourney. Hip pointers can be tricky if you don’t take a break for it to heal.
Forget SEC tourney ...who gives a crap .. a win against a top 3 team worth a whole lot more .. screw the tournament ..it means nothing for Aub. KY , Arkansas and TN

When I was a kid, helping my dad work on his old truck, the wrench would sometimes slip and I would scrape my knuckles. Dad would tell me to rub some grease on it and it would be ok.

I get the point of this but always hated the quote, rub some dirt or grease in it and you raise your chance of infection. Should be if you can tough it out do so and if you can't, don't let some A-hole tell you that you should.

He won’t contribute much if he plays injured. I was at the last game and during the shoot around he could barely jump. The bigs were taking turns catching a pass inside and finishing. Everyone else was slamming down power dunks, Fulky was tossing floater layups. Not once did he even come close to elevating. If he can’t jump he needs to sit out and heal.

With Fulky’s experience advantage, he could be a big deal for us today unless he’s just too hampered. He’s pulled off some great games for us when we’ve least expected it. I have no idea of his limitations, only that I’ve had a couple of hip pointers that really set me back.

I would consider sitting Fulkerson until the SEC Tournament begins and go with a four guard lineup and increasing minutes for Huntley-Hatfield and Aidoo and Plavsic.

My Dad would always say, " I've had worse injuries on the head of my penis." lol

he literally meant rub some grease in to stop the bleeding.
