I know I ribbed you about being "forum police," but you do realize this type of copying and pasting is agaist forum rules, right?

Nor, like everything else fom TriCitiesSports, is it a good article. You get what you pay for with those guys.

I think that the DUI deserved a suspension, especially in the light of his other scandals. I mean, this wasn't klike he'd been a kid with no problems for 3 years then got a DUI, there you can make some leeway (but not much, imo). This kid wasn't even on the team yet and was screwing up bad. No need to keep him around.

The Johnson guy, I dunno how bad his offense was. Not sure how a plastic toy gun can get an aggrevated assault rap. It'll probably get dropped to a much lesser offense. 4 games plus who-knows-what in internal discipline seems reasonable to me.

We've had 4 bad things this spring/summer which I'd argue is on-par with most other schools. We are doing much better now. With over 100 kids on the roster, less than 4% having problems, I would argue, is probably less than the college population.

We prefer that you paste a summary or copy a couple of pertinent paragraphs. I suppose there is no "rule" but most people seem to prefer it that way.

Ah, I will look at doing that at some point. Although, I hate updating rules so it may take a bit. :biggrin2:

In other words, don't hold your breath. "A bit" to Freak is equivalent to about six months.

The way I look at it is this way. I know lots and lots of people who have driven under the influence, but I don't know anyone who has flashed a gun at an officer of the law. I'm agree with Lawgator he got the displinary action reversed.

But we know no real facts about either, except what has been speculated in the press. I would bet there have been direct discussions b/w the coaches and these players and trust they made the right call.

I dunno. I read the article (via the link, thanks). What I got from it was [a] he's clearly a Vol fan (no big surprise there), he's opinionated (and who here ain't?), [c] he's done some homework, and [d] he has his doubts about 2006. We all do.

This thread..the first part at least...seems to parallel the remarks about Mike Griffith. Where are the lines drawn that separate homers from knowledgable journalists from bammers? And who draws those lines?

To each his own. 8-4 would be about where I'd draw the line this year.
