Fulmer recuperating after surgery

Wish him a full and speedy recovery.

Surgery is harder than ever when you're that age.

Tell me about it. CPF has me by less than a year. We are currently sharing 72.

Edited to add.

Always a bit odd but I grew up down Kingston Pike from UT, he in middle TN, he came to UT, and my 200+ lbs offset him by heading to Belmont, he added a spouse this way, I grabbed mine from 20 miles east of his HS stadium from Lincoln County.
We started coaching at about the same time, though my taking command of the least athletic of 2 fraternities and 3 other intramural flag football teams does not match his career I don’t guess. I was elected since I could at least spell words like formation.

Vols HOF coach Fulmer recovering after surgery

Article says family is being tight lipped about his health issues but he evidently had surgery today.

Hope all is well for our HOF coach! Too bad we fired him and not given him a sabbatical. Just a shame!
Blessings to him. Many fond memories of his time as HC. One point: No one ever goes on sabbatical when failing. He failed in a position that is, by its nature, an unforgiving profession. That is why these coaches are paid so highly, as much is expected.

There it is. I was wondering how many posts it would take for someone to make a snarky comment/take a shot at him

I heard it was a brain bleed. Not sure if that’s a fact or not but if so that’s scary. Best wishes to him.

I have a co-worker (physician) who had a brain bleed during dinner with his family. He recognized something was off, got to the hospital, got treatment and was back at work four days later. Amazing what medicine can do these days.

My wife suffered a brain bleed almost a year ago. She didn't require surgery (thank God) but she did spend 9 days in the hospital. She said it was the most excruciating pain she ever felt. They never could pinpoint the source of the bleed, but it stopped on its own. The pain was being caused by the pressure the leaky blood was putting on her brain. She had to be on fentanyl patches for several days to deal with the pain. She also had to take prednisone and gabapentin for a long time, along with a myriad of other meds that I can't even remember now. All in all I think she was on a total of 13 different med's. I know we had to download a pill taking app just to help keep up with it all. It's been a very difficult recovery for her.

The "tinfoil hat" part of me wonders if this was brought on by the COVID vaccine. She had two rounds of it.

Been watching "Decade of Dominance" DVD this week. CPF & the Vols were terrific! Prayers for his full recovery. Can relate to major surgery issues.

Prayers for all the recoveries mentioned to family members.
Scary stuff.
I had a nightmare about having a stroke.
It was so scary, I changed my lifestyle and improved my exercise routine.

Glad to hear your wife is recovered and well!

To be clear I’m not judging at all your vax question. It’s becoming common in my circle of folks that they’re “convinced” the vax was the cause of health problems. Most recent was the wife of man in his 70’s who died of cancer? I have no idea if she’s wrong or right, but it must be a terrible mental burden to carry to think your loved one lost their life/health due to a defective medication.

Thanks. Shes doing much better now. Still has setback days from time to time but she's come along way in a year.

Regarding the vaccine, yeah that's why I labeled it as a "tinfoil hat" theory. It's not something I'm willing to go picket in the streets over, but things like that do cross my mind from time to time.

Maybe one star for acknowledging it's a tinfoil hat comment? Glad your wife is recovering.
