Just watching ESPN SportsCenter and they reported that Fulmer is in no danger of losing his job. Talk is that he's untouchable especially with his relationship with Mike Hamilton.

Nobody is untouchable, but I'd say Fulmer has banked 2-3 years of leeway before he is in trouble.

His job is not in danger....yet. If this continues for another 2 years, things will heat up.

UT had to borrow money to get rid of Buzz. They don't have the cash to get rid of Fulmer even if they wanted to.

Yes. who would lend UT money? No one, never, ever, poor risk, UT has no politcal or financial power, great post, got to go now.

Yes, they borrowed money but it was because the UTAD is self-funded and this was the 2nd coach they had to pay. Buzz took the lump sum which was unexpected. Most state univ. get money from their state to operate the AD, not UT's though.

he has next year, if we struggle he will be gone at the end of the season. rumor is boosters don't want to flip bill for improvements to the stadium the way we are playing. that rumor is coming from the university and alumnist, how true it is i don't know.

I would find it hard to believe that boosters would back up on improvements because of a bad season.

thats the rumor. i've heard it from quite a few people over the season. i will say the people are usually pretty accurate, but there have been times they have been misinformed to.

i don't agree with that but, this is his reprieve. Get it done or else. By Hamilton being so heavily involved in the next OC hire shows depleated confidence in Fulmer.

Probably people just blowing off steam out of frustration....but saying it and doing it are very different.

If Fulmer doesn't win against instate rivals Memphis and especially Vanderbilt, all hail (sp) might break :mf_surrender: :gun: :banghead: :bad: loose.

Buzz told UT he would take payments of a certain amount over time. UT tried to nickle and dime him, so he said forget it and held them to the terms of his contract.

Throws an arm around CPF's head...now lemmme tell ya ole bud....Your a coach with a good record but the fans can only swallow so many embarrassments. You sit back on your old navy and ultra conservative southern baptist butt and run your team. Thats a good plan but heres the catch, you can pay off a mortgage on a 400k home and send your kids to college on your hype.....IF YOU WIN. If you don't your just another good ole boy who cant pay his rent.

You're right. PF makes ten times more than I'll ever dream of making.

He owns property (without a house even on it) worth more than 400.

NOW how does his performance sit with the congregation?
