Ambles went to usc. His last few weeks had kiffen all over it. That's why I refused to get excited about him visiting last weekend. Kiffen will toot his own horn wait and see.

How can he toot his horn when we ended up with the better receiver (Rogers)?

Can he toot his horn when USC is on TV a total of 4 times next season, and we are on 13?

Da'rick Rogers may be the more highly rated receiver on Rivals - but I think that Ambles will almost certainly begin contributing in a bigger way earlier. Rogers may catch up, but Ambles is ready to play.

Add to that the fact that there is a reasonable chance that Rogers doesn't even make it in this year and we have to re-recruit him next year, and I can see why you would be happier as a coach (who likes to play freshman) to have Ambles.

I said this exact thing earlier. I think Rogers is more along the lines of a Robert Meachem. He'll take time to get there... but when he does he'll be better than Ambles in the long run.
