Funny how the season went downhill

Our odds didn't decrease because we traded quarterbacks, our odds decreased because we played significantly better teams after Worley got hurt.

Are you okay? Are you seeing double? I'm worried about you, my fellow Vol fan.

So odds only depend on the opponent? Have you ever taken math? Do you understand statistics? Do you go to a county school? I'm worried as well

BS, BS, BS.....In 2 games a true freshman has been more dynamic and inspiring than most of the season seeing Worley(junior) throwing into the ground most of the time. I am grateful for Worley, but he is NOTHING compared to Dobbs.

I am not going to get into a debate about who is MORE talented or who has MORE upside. I like Dobbs, I wish him very well over the next 3 or 4 years in our program. I believe he is immensely talented and will develop into quite a weapon on the Hill. But as for this season, I strongly believe Worley gave us the best chance to win NOW. IMHO. Sad that the kid got hurt, I believe he's capable (and numbers have shown this), in leading UT to 30+ points a game, which is required when the Defense is that bad. Thus my conclusion....

Worley > *

Had he played against Mizzou and Barn, both those games would have only been 10 point losses instead of whatever they were (30+)

I have been a pretty staunch defender of Worley.... but this is arguably the dumbest and most unprovable posts I have read all day.

When Worley got hurt for all of you who wanted the freshman to play...

1. There was no choice but to play a freshman when Worley got hurt.
2. Worley is STILL HURT.
3. Peterman is just now getting to the point where he can take full practice. He's an RS FR. so even if he were back full speed and Worley goes down. We're still playing a freshman.

Yes I know the defense is bad and Dobbs is not the reason we are losing but fact remains that the team was growing balls until Worley went down...

The team is growing -- still is. And despite the butthurt of this loss, playing Oregon, a healthy UF, healthy UGA, healthy USC, healthy Bama, healthy Mizzou (minus Franklin), healthy Auburn and doing it with no depth takes its toll on players bodies.

However, our guys have played above their talent/depth level in a few games (UGA, USC) but the injuries, dings, and general grind of the season is starting to wear their bodies down -- you can't play a schedule like that and not expect that but add in the inability to keep rotating bodies and you're asking for the impossible. If our lines had any depth at all we'd still be playing above expectations.

His biggest problem is turning drives into 7 pts. We were in Missou territory 14 times and came away with 3 points. Our red zone offense under Dobbs has scored one touchdown in 2 games. He's young, so we give him a pass this year, but next year we need a leader on the field -- one that is determined to score. Riley Ferguson may ultimately win the QB spot. CBJ will open it back up in the spring.

This is seriously the dumbest thing I've read in Volnation. If you really think Worley would have lead us to victories over Alabama, Mizzou or Auburn, you need your head checked.

Since you like statistics, check out the TOP statistic against Auburn, if you even know what that is. How are you going to blame a quarterback when TOP is in our favor? Also try to find halftime stats of the Auburn game. I couldn't believe we were down like we were when stats were so close.

We allowed a KO return for a touchdown, a punt return for a touchdown, a punt return for 40 or so yards, several big plays on defense, etc. I guess you're right. All of that is Dobbs's fault.
