Tried to turn it to espn to see whats going on.. and their main channel is blacked out in Tennesee.. freggin penn state game? really? sorry tennessee your not aloud to watch us anymore.

Called provider to make sure it was not a mistake and sure enough.. espn decides where blackouts happen and it was confirmed. They no longer want us as viewers.

How is espn blacked out? Yea the VT game isn't being shown ( though family in Nashville says it is being shown there ) but it does say it will be either Iowa/psu or the VT game.

Regional coverage. ABC is VT & Miami so ESPN doesn't compete with it. It's not ESPN's choice, it's contractual.

The other game is on ABC if you're in Knoxville. Believe the op has had a little pre-game celebration.

I don't care if ESPN hates us or not. I read about everybody saying that but who cares? As long as it's football season I'm happy!

My ESPN in Alabama says the VT/Miami game is blacked out. BUT the game was on earlier on ABC.

Abc is k-state/Missouri, Espn is the boredom bowl (psu/Iowa)

It's on ESPN 2 and does not start until 7:00pm good grief. All this ESPN hates us crap is getting old. Sound like a bunch of kids. boo-hoo

i noticed that also but as i went thru the espn channels,the game that was blacked out was on an espn alternate channel.usually nothing or rarely does anythin show on the alternate channel.believe that makes the second timethis season i have noticed this happening.
