I am looking at our commits now with Smith and Broussard, and Johnson coming soon after. And then considering guys like Walls playing next year.

Just that alone makes a solid DL core, and it is only going to get better with more recruits. We should be a hellified force up front in the next couple of years. And then Kiffin Sr. coordinating all of them. Geez, it's damn near impossible not to get totally stoked about what we will be capable of doing to opposing QB's in the relatively near future.

Hughes is going to be in the middle the next 3 years too. Him and Walls make our future really bright.

Hughes, Walls, Broussard, and Super Frosh Johnson. What a DT rotation. And then factor in Jeffrey. We will be deep at DT. Then the ends. Martin and Walker will make playing end at UT look great this year. Smith and whoever else we get will be monsters on the line. Get ready folks!!! Man I'm feeling pumped right now.

It will be one this year. Our 1s are good. Our 2s are good too, which will include Hughes and Walls.

I think that would actually be better. Brown is able to play pretty much everything, so everyone could get a rest throughout the drive, and just slot him in at DT on passing downs to get a better pass rush.

I'm so excited about Freak though. Even the LSU fans are saying he's a lock for 5*s.

What's most telling to me is the difference between Dline recruiting in this class and the last few years with the old staff. Night and Day. It's enough to make a man pumped.

I think Hughes will be a 1 this fall. I'm thinking Wes Brown will be a great versatile backup along the line.

I think he should be, but Monte has said that Brown is a starter and they just need a place to put him. They will not put him in over Martin, Walker, or Williams so it has to be Hughes has to be it. I think Walls will push for PT too.

I totally agree about Freak....that is a man child. I mean come on he is 6'4'' 295 AS A SOPH IS HIGH SCHOOL! That is crazy.

Jevon Kearse was the only Freak that I can remember besides Volsfreak

You're hanging your hopes on two guys that haven't played D-1 ball yet?

I'm not saying they won't be good but I wouldn't consider DT a huge bright spot for this coming season, especially considering it is a position that sees lots of injuries.

After those 4 you mentioned, who else is there? Chase Nelson, Victor Shaw and Andre Mathis. Woo hoo.

I was about to say the same thing. With the inexperience, they will have very good moments and very bad moments. Talent + inexperience= inconsistency.

Lot's of buzz around this guy. Sounds good!

What in the world was this last staff doing (or not doing) in regards to the O and D-line?

Getting their collective asses handed to them.

Athletic big men are hard to find.

I will give them props on the Hughes signing

Hey don't dampen our off-season spirits with negativity.
