Future Etsu football?

Anyone heard any recent info about this? I thought they were going to get their program back but I havent heard anything.

once we get a new president and a new AD, I'd be willing to bet the football team would be back soon. but the problem is getting rid of the two jackasses who did away with the football team in the first place

Only thing they could get the current administration at ETSU to do was propose a fee to current students to pay for a football program in the future. Basically, they asked the students to pay a fee starting in 07 that would've ramped up each year until they would have been paying an extra $350 per semester by this year for a team that would've theoretically been playing it's first games in 2010. They also made it clear that the football team wouldn't be coming back without about $15 mil in private donations for a stadium.

Of course, the students that were asked to pay hundreds of extra dollars per semester to get a possibility of a team that wouldn't be playing until most of them had graduated voted down the resolution.
