Heard on the Steve Czaban show this morning that Rolling Stone plans on releasing an article on all kinds of s*** Hernandez was doing that lead up to the most recent murder. One of the items is said to be that Urban Meyer may have covered up several incidents - including a drive-by outside a club.
i am going to defend meyer here, but i know it will fall on deaf ears.
1. coaches have no involvement in any phase of the drug testing. so, urban couldn't cover anything up if he wanted to.
2. florida has had players arrested for throwing paper cups at a sandwich shop and barking at a police dog. yet, the gainesville law enforcement community is going to let a shooting slide. i'll let y'all think about that and come to your own conclusion.
You're right. The idea that Urban Meyer is a lying little douche is not feasible. Totally on spot here.

that's not what i said at all.
i basically said urban did not have the opportunity to lie.
when florida does drug testing, the coaches have no part in any of it. urban did not have the power to cover up a failed drug test.
so, for sake of argument, if failed drug tests were covered up it was by administrative personnel, which would actually be more damning to the school.

To say he did not have the opportunity to lie is naive.
i still don't think you understand.
he did not have the opportunity to lie about something he had no control of.
i did not say he's above doing something like this. i'm saying it would have been impossible for him to do so with the way florida operates its drug testing.
this story is actually old. this article is a re-hash of allegations made when hernandez was originally arrested.
Then you'll need to explain their airtight policies then.
I've worked for many large companies that have departments, personnel, etc that are not supposed to do certain things with each other or what have you...due to conflicts of interest. Thus policies are put in to place so that said things do not happen. That said, people always find a way around said rules. People lie, manipulate, whatever to get what they want. Other people wilt under pressure, take bribes, promotions, turn a blind eye, etc. things happen.
