Fyi...Brandon Spikes to return to Florida Gators

who cares. Spikes is the overrated one in the bunch. Harvin is a game changer and has to be gameplanned for. Spikes is simply a big linebacker.

Spikes is the heart and soul of that D..i was surprised to see him come back.
I'm surprised, but he's not the reason that D was solid. He made some plays, but their secondary and ability to get after the QB is what made them solid.

Heart and soul comments remind me a lot of Dane Bradshaw and other players where the idea of them is better than the actual players.

I expected Spikes to leave myself, Harvin was predictable in my opinion.
Spikes isn't overrated, he's a very fine player and is the leader of our defense.

I think you are the doofus here, unless you have a third BESIDES Tebow, who he was clearly saying was no threat to go pro.

Percy Harvin is the third but he is staying in the draft, hence the 2 out of 3.

who were the first two. The point was that Tebow was never a viable candidate for the draft, so you really got 1 out of 2 back, rather than 2 out of 3. I'm not sure I can make it simpler than that.

Tebow will get drafted....mark my words. If Jared Lorenzen can make a team, Tebow is a shoe-in.

Spikes had 8 sacks this year:eek:hmy:

he's better in that mode than as a true LB. He just doesn't look fast enough. I don't know how he runs, but he just doesn't get to those sidelines like great MLBs do.

I agree, just ribbin' you a bit. I have watched alot of their games while he has been there and he never seems to stand out...however, he quietly picks up tackles if that makes sense....

that's really bold of you. For an NFL system right now, I'd take Lorenzen over Tebow all day long.
With the increase of the spread option in college its just a matter of time before some NFL team will give it a serious look...more than what the Dolphins are doing

he flat stops plays that he gets to. He's big, strong and sure tackler, but he's not the athlete that Jerod Mayo is.

they'll all talk about it, but the only ones going to use it are those with serious QB or WR limitations.

I can only see Spikes being successful as a stand-up hybrid OLB in the mold of Ware and Merriman in a 3-4.

I echo BPV here, I don't think he has the lateral speed to be a good MLB/OLB in a 4-3.

No one said Tebow wouldn't get drafted. The point was, and it was pretty freakin' obvious wow, that Tebow would have been taken really low this year... round 4-6 probably... so there's no point in him leaving and therefore he wasn't a threat of leaving. Meaning Spikes and Harvin were your only two so you got 1/2.

Tebow will be drafted next year but not higher than the 3rd round at best.
