So I understand there are three records here, 12-0, 11-1, 10-2, so the totals will vary based on the record. But why are there differences in the totals between UGA-UM-TCU, and Bama-UT?

UM has two more games.
Bama has 1 more game.

Why did he not sort the second list? Tennessee is ranked fourth in overall record of opponents defeated, but there are placed last in the list. If you're not paying attention, then you are led to believe that the Vols defeated bad teams only.

WTH does it matter.

Makes perfect sense though without even verifying the math. Win the game vs Lamecocks and we would be up there with the teams who will make the playoffs. We crapped the bed so we will not.

It's weird he switches the orders but he is ordering the second list off of CFP rankings.

No idea why he wasnt consistent, but that's the only thing I figured out. Maybe he is trying to show the discrepancy between rankings and records????

I like the stat of Overall Record of Opponents Defeated. It clearly shows that while Ohio State, USC and Alabama have good records, they didn't beat anybody with a pulse.

So basically OSU played a .500 schedule and got beat handidly at home by the best team they played. And take out Michigan and their opponents collectively are not even .500.

Color me shocked.

Even with the ohio state win, Michigan's foes have a losing record.

USC's foes also have a losing record.

You can make up a stat to show whatever you want that makes your team look the best.

- record vs teams that wear Nike
- record vs teams that start with the letter G
- record vs teams whose main stadium entrance faces north

UT is 10-2. That's all that matters. The rest is just noise.

UM didn't play a FCS team, who play 11 and for some reason Hawaii played 13 games.

Akron is playing their 12th right now.

Ah. Was not aware. That explains it.

I think Hawaii typically gets an extra game due to location.
