I just got a text from another Coach that Gerald was nominated to the McDonalds All-American game.. Hopefully he can make it.. That will give our school an All-American in 3 sports, football, basketball, and track...

Has Gerald shown any interest in being a two sport athlete for the Vols?

He says that basketball is his first love, but I think that he knows his ticket is in football... Its so hard to play both sports especially in the SEC...

I hope he is named a McDonalds AA but I really hope he doesn't play

Yeah but what happens if he tears up an ankle?

I see what your saying but he could have torn up his ankle his senior year or in AAA game. In Bball there is much less chance of injury and the McDonald's AA would a wonderful experience for a young kid. I think we'd be kinda being selfish to not want him to participate in something only a few kids actually have the chance to do...

I really believe this is a special class on par with the 97 class.

Condredge Holloway was a QB for UT in the 70's was nicknamed the Artful Dodger like Gerald could have played numerous positions at UT

Holloway was one of the most frustrating guys I have ever seen when other teams tried to tackle him

He averages around 19 points, & rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals... Whats funny is the Swindall kid is probably the better basketball player.. Gerald is kind of the Robin and Tramain is Batman... They kind of reverse roles from football to basketball...

Holloway was a great athlete who also played baseball at UT. One year, they were playing a game at ETSU and a friend of mine hit a single for the Bucs. He stole second and the pitch got past the catcher. Seeing the catcher picking up the baseball at the backstop, my friend asked Holloway, who was playing shortstop, what happened. Holloway told him it was a foul ball and my friend began to trot back to first. The catcher quickly, too quickly, fired to second, as my bewildered friend barely scrambled back to the base. Holloway just smiled.
