Actually if you go back and read the Howell thread (don’t recommend) it sounds like Howell was Tyson’s guy and it could’ve been Pruitt who wasn’t sold on him. To say Howell’s was ours for the taking might be a stretch, but the reports were that Howell really liked Tennessee and then the staff cooled on him for whatever reason. Probably a kid that needed those camp evals to really boost his rating. This recruiting cycle leaves far more questions than in the past simply because there have been no camps. Staffs haven't been able to get these kids on campus and work them out. Makes for the potential of a lot of surprises when they get on campus, IMO.

Don't know why, but reading this thread leaves me thinking about Jennings, and how everyone wanted him to play safety when he committed to us.

Do we know for sure what position we are recruiting him for? His hudl against Blessed Trinity last year is impressive. They are loaded every year and have won 3 straight state championships and ended Trevor Lawrence's high school career with a loss. He looked smooth and fast against them. Maybe he is a WR. Just going by track numbers he will be one of the fastest kids in the state this year.

Safety is the general consensus. This is the kind of guy Pruitt has done well with in the past. Athlete that he can coach up his way. Doesn't have the bad habits to get rid of.
