a report from al.com on sunday night referred to tennessee and alabama being in a dead heat for four-star vols linebacker commitment jj peterson, according to rush propst, his coach at colquitt county high school in norman park, ga. While propst said the battle between tennessee and alabama appeared to be 50-50, sources said sunday night that the vols still are believed to be in the drivers seat for peterson and have a good chance of holding onto the top-50 prospect. The crimson tide have continued to push for peterson down the stretch, so alabama cant be counted out as a potential threat. But tennessee seems to have weathered the storm to this point.

Click bait and nothing more. Not one thing has come out our side from site, insider, or whoever regarding Peterson and UA since he committed to UT a month ago. This is HS coach trying to create drama and help get some attention for the program. I think this more has to do with his HS coach trying to live vicarious through JJ. JJ seems like the type of kid that keeps it simple and does not like all the attention hence why no one has read anything on him even after the UA visit that he was looking anywhere else other then UT.
And FWIW no one on the UA side thinks JJ is still considering UA. We will be just a hat on the table if there is a ceremony.

This sounds more like him wanting to create some drama for his announcement. He can still have his moment now and have suspense and UT and get a big splash from it that they beat Saban out for a recruit and on the same day flipped Walker from UA. Pruitt trying to get visibility for the program.
