Everything I'm seeing says TideWarrior is right. Probst is just trying to create NSD drama and publicity for Pruitt & UT flipping JJ from Bama, though it happened weeks ago.

TW I really appreciate the info you bring to this site. I don't post much but fans like you and a couple others are the reason I respect the tide much more than some other sec oppents we play. My take on JJ is that Probst filled his need and strong desire for a father figure he trusts. CJP had earned JJ's trust before UT hired him. Probst history with, and endorsement of, CJP made JJ even more comfortable with CPJ taking over that role. Seems like a lock to me.

My take is based on things JJ was quoted as saying in several articles. Actions speak louder than words and JJ's actions mirror those things he said. Soon after Pruitt was hired he flipped. I posted about this on VN back then, and I said Bama's only shot was for Saban and Tosh to greatly strengthen their relationships and build stong trust with JJ. I think Pruitt already had too big of a lead in that regard for them to make up enough ground for him to flip back. Bottom line = Pruitt still holds the trump card.

I'll also never claim to be an insider either, but I do get info about bama stuff since I am trapped in this state and the only people I can talk football with irrational bamers lol

And I distinctly remember this time a year ago when people were saying that Murphy had very little shot to qualify...and that rumor followed him all the way up to him showing up on campus...fully qualified

The one thing for certain is that Peterson has not done what he needs to do as of today to qualify. My guess is most teams have a recruit or two like this that they will have to make a decision on tomorrow. I know Georgia has one, possibly two. It's important for fans to understand that not all qualification issues are created equal. Some are simple transcript related issues, while others are GPA, core class, or test score related; which can be a little more challenging. Here is the plan in a perfect world; which isn't the case for a lot of kids in small town rural Georgia.

I think you have to graduate from high school to qualify. So he’s right. Almost everyone signing tomorrow who are in high school have not qualified yet.

Keep in mind Bama is notorious for getting players that can barely read and write qualified.
