Tennessee Running Backs Coach De’Rail Sims is expected to check on multiple schools in the Atlanta area on Friday. He will check in on 2025 running back commitment Justin Baker, as well as 2026 four-star running back Tyriq Green during his travels.

Justin Baker is one that probably doesn’t get enough credit for where he stands as a priority in Tennessee’s class. The Vols’ staff covets the long-time commitment, and he has been a frequent visitor to campus.

I watched the first half on YouTube. It was a defensive battle (which is a good sign with us having 2 DB commits on Milton).

Every yard for Baker was earned. I like the way he ran. Ran hard, didn't run side to side, and always fell forward. The issue was the blocking. Milton was playing run heavy and Buford didn't act like it wanted to pass.

Yeah Milton was definitely forcing them to beat them through the air. Worked out pretty well for them. Only points Buford scored was a safety and then a rushing TD after picking Milton off at the Milton 10

There will be some guys blow up during the season at RB that we've never heard of at this point. We will be ok at RB for this class. Especially if we flip Morris. It's one of the reasons I love recruiting so much. A kid can jump on the scene out of nowhere.

Probably because he rarely runs for a 100 yards in high school games.

Kind of agree. Obviously the staff seems to like Baker. I don’t see that we couldn’t replace him with someone similar via high school or the portal.
