“I am going to Georgia next weekend, Tennessee on April 2, and I am setting up one with Auburn too,” Jones shared.

“They were the first school to offer,” Jones stated. “Their head coach (Josh Heupel) offered me. Tennessee has a special place in my heart. Their fanbase is showing the most love. I am ready to see what they are like.”

Speaking with Jones happened right after news broke that five-star 2023 California quarterback Nico Iamaleava committed to the Volunteers, he shared his thoughts on the big get for Tennessee.

“It does a lot,” Jones said. “He is human when he talks, that puts them up on my list.”

Tennessee seems to be the top school for him currently right now. Have picked up some traction with him

Warner Robins (Ga.) Northside Top247 safety Ricardo Jones made a few plays including an interception in one of the games we were watching. No major program has been watching Jones longer than Tennessee and because of that they’re the program to beat at this point in his process. He’ll be back in Knoxville on April 1.

“Just the relationship with the coaches,” Jones said. “We talk almost every day. Me and Coach Heup, Coach Banks, Coach ET, Coach Willie Martinez, we chop it up every day. They’ve just been there since day one. They were my first SEC offer. They were the first school to come to my spring practice. They were the first one to actually show a lot of love and I want to give love back in return.”

Landing those 3 plus Franklin, Wingo, and Spillman by summertime would be massive
Wiltfong was talking about Wingo's recruitment being more open and maybe a visit would put us back as favorites. I think we are still solid but gotta survive official visits. Wiltfong still thinks we lead for Spillman and in a good spot on Franklin.

I’d just hate to see us lose out on Wingo after we lead for him for so long

WR is the last position you should ever worry about. We just took a guy Will Muschamp wouldn’t take and made him the best WR in the nation. You really need to try and not be so negative all the time.

And when he was matched up against NFL caliber DBs he wasn’t very impactful. What he was able to do against Bama will never be forgotten and him and Hendon deserve a street named after them for it, but Heupel and Golesh did a phenomenal job at getting him matched up on DeMarco Hellams and made it to where McKinstry couldn’t follow him when he went in motion. At some point we need a stud like this and or Mike Matthews that can line up across from an NFL DB and beat him on routes other than a deep ball. That’s why Ohio State was able to find success against their defense and we weren’t

Yeah, because us playing on Georgia's home field in the rain, and their stadium being the loudest it's ever been had nothing to do with it...... or the fact that Ohio St had a month to prepare in a neutral setting.

WRs have an advantage over DBs in the rain. He wasn’t very good that game. He was alright, but nothing like he was the rest of the season. A lot of that had to do with the OL issues and drives stalling, but our fans need to give Georgia more credit for that game than we do

No, because the QB is always at a disadvantage because of the wet ball.

Yes we do need to give credit to UGA, because they pressured Hendon.
Hyatt was still getting open ,however Hendon couldn't get him the ball as often or as easily.

And not everything was scheme against Bama. 3 times Hyatt ran right at the DB. The DB flipped his hips to run, but didn't realize how fast Hyatt was after 30 yards and Hyatt caught up to them THEN SURPASSED them while the ball was in the air.

It's crazy how some people just can't trust their own eyes....

Banks and Jones at safety…Goree and Carter at NB…Beasley and Ify at CB…now that’s one helluva DB class

Good, but Bolden (who rescheduled) from GA is a big time S difference maker. He is another level and would change things.
