Does he know georgia hasn't really gotten their WRs the ball very much lately? It looks like their team leader in receptions from a WR position only had 31 receptions last year.

Have you seen the QBs behind Bennet? That line of thinking is gonna change. Besides UGA is the second or 3rd best program in the country.

I don't see Kirby ever having a very explosive offense. He just will not let a truly talented QB sling it around. (Justin Fields)

The only reason he won the National championship is because Bama's top 3 receiving targets were all hurt for the big game.

And they had the Chicago Bears 1985 Defense

They also had a WR go in the 2nd round that didn't even play until the end and they still won the natty. Their star edge rusher was kicked off the team too. Plus he's in-state for them and Georgia players that Georgia wants are hard to pull. He's a 2024, I'm not worrying about it. Georgia is going to get high level talent, so I don't really care much unless they are a Vol target. Just going to have to get enough raw talent in to beat them which I think we can do eventually

Maybe. Maybe not. Vandergriff and Stockton are very talented passers. I don’t what happened with the Fields situation. But I jts find it unlikely that Kirby is gonna sit back and not let 5* QBs that he directly recruited not sling it.

While it’s easy to say the only reason they won was because of Bamas injuries, that’s just pure speculation and something nobody can ever know. Injuries are part of the game and cannot be used as excuses.

This was about why people give Bennett so much flack. My opinion is with that defense, Kirby played his best game manager. The person least likely to make mistakes.

That’s a valid point. Bennett is a guy that kind of just gets the job done so to speak. But I have the feeling UGAs offense is gonna become more explosive in the next few years.

Perception really is a crazy thing:
Stetson Bennett had 15 less pass attempts and 83 less passing yards than Hooker last season, according to ESPN. Many games he didn’t need to throw much in the fourth quarter. Like Hooker, he didn't start every game. We definitely feel like we slung it around. To be clear, Hooker is better. Just talking about the perception of Bennett not throwing it around. I definitely didn’t think their attempts and yards would be so similar.

Out of curiosity how many drops did Georgia have? We had some huge plays that were on the money but dropped.

I have no idea how many drops they had. The point was that we have an offense that slings it around, while uga is run heavy, yet the attempts and yardage were similar for the returning qbs. Hooker is definitely more on the money than Bennett. It was interesting because I thought we would have had 25-30% more attempts and yards passing.

And there's the misconception of our offense.

Check Hookers pass attempts with the rest of the country and see what you find.

We run it just as much we throw it. Hooker barley had 3,000 yards passing in 12 games played. So no, that's really surprising to hear that about Bennett...
