Really impressive to carry us with no one else giving us anything offensively and Ziegler and Lanier both sitting most of the second half. Especially after he went 0-fer from the field in the first half.

Milicic had a nightmarish shooting night but never stopped playing - that steal & dunk was crucial!

Dubar made some nice plays off the bench.

Refs had 3 phantom foul calls on ZZ and Lanier (the last 2 were absolutely stupid) late that really put us in a tough spot.

Tonight’s game alone was enough to justify Gainey’s scholarship as he put the team on his back in the second half and kept us ranked #1.

We needed someone to step up to the plate tonight. Gainey delivered. Now, another weapon, opponents are gonna have to prepare for. Never did buy in to Gainey's game, but he has improved immensely from last year. Great game JG!! I'm all in with ya!!

Good thing is this isn't him just having one great night. He's been playing remarkably better all this year. It's the kinda improvement you hope for in a player from year to year.
