It's my opinion that both Alabama and Georgia will suffer defeats in their 1st game. Does ESPN agree or disagree with me in reporting these two highlights, or is it simply NCAA news that just co-incidently happened?

UGA/Ok State is a hard one to figure. It's definitely not the ideal environment for UGA to break in a QB.

Okie state/UGA i wouldn't be surprised if georgia drops that game. I wouldn't be surprised if they wipe the floor with okie state either.

Ha, the spin on this if both those teams lose. The number one topic the next week on talk shows and espn will be "Is the SEC overrated". Its so predictable anymore.

bama is going to roll vtech. if georgia gets even servicable qb play they'll beat osu.

Not so fast! Alabama may find out in this game the role Parker was on this team, that and VT's special teams play in field position may make this a real possibility of a 16-14 upset special.

That's part of my thinking too, as well as a Georgia defense that on the road may give a spotlight to Dez Bryant's argument for Heisman consideration.

Bama wins big.

The question is Georgia's defense. They say in those big 12 teams that offense is king. Every-body's answer is, yea but they don't have to play SEC defenses. Well this time they do. Georgia by 3.

I agree. This game evokes images of General George Armstrong Custer going into the Little Big Horn coulee.

VT will be exposed as the mediocre ACC team they are.

All they have to do is run the ball, and if they put 8 in the box go to Julio 1-on-1 or Marquis Maze. Then when they bring the blitz hit Maze or whoever is playing RB on the screen, playcalling for Bama should be really easy.

bama is just going to ram that football down VT's throat, and UGA could lose to Okie st, Im actually expecting it to happen, although I thin richt has only lost 1 OOC game with UGA

That may be so but look at who they have played OOC? With the exception of last year(ASU), who was the best team they have played OOC? I remember them playing Boise St. a few years ago but other than that I don't remember them playing anybody that great

Not that they have been anything special the past 10 years, but Ga Tech is usually at least credible at the end of the schedule.

True but it seems like as of late UGA struggles with them, last year they fell flat on their face in every big game they played, Bama and UF rolled them, and Ga Tech dominated their defense with that option....Their OOC just hasn't been very impressive the past few years

1. Yes, I expect Alabama to beat Virginia Tech handidly.

2. No, they could get great QB play, and still lose. Oklahoma State's a damn good football team.

Auburn sucks, but I think one is getting carried away to say "watch out for LA tech." Not that it couldn't happen, but it is the equivalent of saying "watch out for Western Kentucky."

I wouldn't say that...WKU could probably out suck any one of the worst teams in country....If Auburn's offense isn't much better than last year La. Tech could keep it close
