Game Attendence

there had to be more than that... because they were expecting 20 thousand and they had to open more seats once the game began just for students.

Just think of how nuts it is to have that many in attendance for a basketball game.

I'm pretty sure they can get 24,000+ in there if they want to.

I heard the lady vols had 100 people over the official seating capacity for the uconn game this weekend. It is great to see the men finally keeping up with the women in attendance!!!!

They still had the curtains down at the ends, other than that just a few seats here and there... they actually sent a TON of students up to the bleachers.

that place has to hold atleast 30 thousand... because they barely opened half of the upper upper decks up tonight. there were still atleast half of the curtains closed and then some seats here and there.

As you may remember, this ill-conceived facility was designed to hold more than Rupp which is around 24K. Why that was such a big driver of TBA I don't know. I worked in the Comms/Student Services Bldg. while TBA was being built. What a disaster. I'd much rather go to Stokley than TBA.

Awesome win tonight!

Well. . . .the women sold it out last weekend, and look for the Florida game next Saturday to be PACKED. There were over 20K there tonight, for sure. What a crowd; very exciting to see Tennessee basketball garner so much enthusiasm.

GO VOLS.

I think part of the onus against TBA is how many BAD seats there are. I don't feel there's a bad seat in the house over at Neyland, but I sure as heck don't want to sit in the upper deck of TBA, or even way up under it.

By bad seats, do you mean just in the upper deck?

My favorites are the "lonely guy" seats where the rows come to a point with just one seat and an aisle on both sides!

It is also too sterile - there just doesn't seem to be any "soul" to the place. Stokely had it's problems but had more of a gym feel. Like many things, basketball is best when it's hot and sweaty :devilsmoke:

Maybe, but they prolly don't sell a lot of cokes and popcorn at Cameron Indoor....
[and yes, if we won like they do, I'd play in that little gym too!]
