The mighty Vol defense really played well vs. LSU. Kudos to Tim Banks and the staff. Garner has built quality line depth that is impressive. It is fun to see Joseph and the freshmen make an impact. The 4th down stops were outstanding!!!

Great post Knox 73. The Vol Offense was solid once again but, the tenacious play of our D is what really made me smile. Like I said three games ago, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that we are mixing up our looks on Defense and giving our opponents fits w our stunts & blitzes. Does it not seem that we are pressuring the QB and disrupting the backfield on at least 50% of the plays?? God, what a thing of beauty!!

We all know that you win championships w Defense. Our Offense is gonna win a bunch more games however, the D has to get us across the finish line. Great game plan coaches and excellent execution Vols!

Front seven was very solid. Run defense and their work specifically containing Daniels was simply masterful, but we gave up 300 yards through the air. That’s really, really, really bad considering LSU had like 80 passing yards against Auburn. Martinez must go at the end of the year. No questions asked.

Garner is doing some work. About 10 defensive lineman played significant snaps and all of their PFF grades were really good.

Hot tip here.... you don't grind it out much when you are three scores down..... Betting Coach was buying into the keep them in front of you defense we employed in the secondary. Do you really think there is a wizzard DB coach out there to take this room and come out with two lockdown corners? Think maybe that is the reason we have as many DBs committed as we do, and probably not done from HS or the portal.

This thread is right on target about the defense and we will see if they can impose their will on Alabama.

How does "game ball to Tim Banks" turn into nonsense firing of coaches? The defense did great Saturday and y'all sidemoufs can't even be happy in one damn thread.
