Guys I just can seem to get football out of my head. So I thought I would get you thoughts about what you like best about Game Day

Mine are:
Waking up Knowing its game day and being so nervous that I cant eat
Wondering why the hell can't anyone get ready as fast as me.
The drive to the game seeing flags flying and magnets on cars.
The smell of fans tailgating.
Talking to friends and rivals about the day to come
Walking into the stadium and getting the feeling that you are in a holy place
Hearing the band start to play as the team huddles up in the tunnel
Almost holding back tears as they run on the field and get ready to play
The stadium shaking as 90,000+ scream their heads off.
Strolling back to the car after a win or running after a loss.

Man when is the season going to start.

I love waking up on Saturdays knowing that it is gameday and all the hype and anticipation from the long work week will soon be put to rest. I love putting on my bright orange jersey and heading off to k-town to enjoy the game with 100,000 of my closest friends, listening to rocky top echoe across the tennessee river, and watching ol UT bring home another victory.

That unbelievable feeling you get when the"Pride" opens up the "T" and that big orange flag leads a wave of Volunteers onto the field.
It is a feeling that defies description. It is a feeling I'll never tire of.

Good post. Especially the part about no one getting ready as fast as me. I swear I could show up on campus at 6:00 am on gameday. The rest of it sounds like me too, except for, uh, the screaming fans, we've got 107,000+. ;)

As far as the VOLS go, I love the Vol talk and Tennessee's Jack Daniels and coke. The smell of Jack reminds me of Tennessee footbal...

Sounds good to me too, Fade!

I love the "Vol Walk" and everything else that is associated with game day. Not much I can add to what you guys have already posted.

Man, what a sweet, sweet anticipation until the Blazers come to town for the opening game blood-letting!

GO VOLS!!!!!!! :rocks: :rocks: :rocks:

Good post, Fade. Got me all psyched up for "Football Time In Tennessee". And let's add to that Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, and Louisiana. As well as the rest of the nation, what the heck!!!

One thing I love about Gameday is sitting down before and/or after UT games and watching other teams and their big games with a cold beer
