With the NCAA tourney coming up and with TN being a lock to be a high seed, and with big, physical teams showing late and consistent success against the Vols, do you suspect that Pearl is holding back on a secret strategy to take it to the Bigs in the tourney?...I may be giving Pearl to much credit, either that or I don't want to admit that we just can't do well against the Super Sized. In any case, I hope we can get far enough into March looking eye-to-eye with our opponents before we have to start looking up. If we have to start looking up early in the month, we might as well ask for a prayer while were looking that way. Hopefully, the Pearly Gates have opened already and the Coach is just holding the answered prayer in his pocket like five smooth stones waiting for the Goliath. And like David, hopefully he can take down the Giant in one shot, if not, those five smooth stones will become our Rocky Stop.

Don't know that he is holding back - must find a way to pressure the ball when big teams throw over the press and must spread the half court offense better to get more looks for Lofton. I doubt we'll magically start rebounding better.

I doubt that Pearl is holding back. The fact is we are undersized against BIG teams.

No matter what Pearl has done a heck of a job!!!!!!!!

I will take 20 wins any day of the week!!!!!

Guys I love this team. They are an undersized team that is overloaded with heart and they play their guts out. I love it! CBP has gotten more out of less than any coach in the country and should be the national coach of the year. Next year we will be bringing in more talent and the next year we will as well. This man is buliding a dynasty and it sure is fun to watch. If we get a couple of SEC tourny wins and maybe a couple in the NCAA we could become the GOnzaga of this year.

I wonder if Lofton could try penetrating more and drawing more fouls, maybe he can kick the blanket back a little bit and get some air.

i don't think there's a lot to hold back with this team...they are what they are. they hustle, they scrap, and they take advantage of other teams' mistakes. the good news is that they have been doing it all year successfully.

the problem will come in when they meat up with a team that is a) just good underneath or B) runs in to team that plays our game, better than we do...like Nova.

Either way, this has been a great season, and should we beat UK on Wed, it's an all around unforgettable season....
