Any scouting report on UCF for those of us that don’t follow every team? What is their record, best win, best loss, height, speed, best player, type defense, etc.?
Thanks in advance.

Just looking at their stats and this is what I see. I think they only played 2 teams with winning records and the lost both games. Tallest player is 6’2”. FG% is 37%. 3 pt FG is 30%. All there wins are against schools I never heard of or barely heard of. Thomas is best rebounded and scorer at around 11 points a game.

Sorry to be off topic but........
How do they assign jersey numbers in women's basketball. I thought 53 was odd for a 16 person squad. No disrespect, just wondering.

In the old days, by seniority, you could pick any number combination that uses 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. That was because the referee had five fingers on each hand. He would shout the fouler number and also hold it up with his hands to show the scorebook keeper.

They may have also allowed zero...as in 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50. Only in recent times, have they allowed you to wear 0.

Therefore, you cannot wear a number that has a 6, 7, 8, or 9.

May be wrong...that is what I remember from many years ago.

That was exactly the case when I was in high school, no number higher than the number of refs fingers. They did allow the use of zero as in 10, 20, etc,, ref just made an O with his fingers. Oddly, they did not allow single digits. Guess they didn't want one ref hand to be left out.

Also, you had to raise your hand when called for a foul so the scorer was sure to assign it to the right player. Failure to do so could be a technical foul. We had some pretty smartass ways to raise and lower that hand when we disagreed with the call. Lots of air smacking and jerking the arm back down. My fave tho was to slowly, hesitantly, disbelievingly raise my hand while dramatically looking down at my number to make sure that's what that blind guy just called.

Massey has us winning by 10 I think we win by a lot more like 25. I thought were getting to a level of play that is better than anytime this season. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like Tennessee 82 UCF 50

Again, Auburn beat this team by 40. If this is a competitive game, then the team clearly still has some serious issues...

Also if you fouled you had to raise your hand. We are going way back now. When I played in high school the 3 point shot wasn't even in play yet.

Same here.

If you were a bum like me, when you and the team star fouled together, we were trained to wave our arm furiously to bait the ref into awarding you the foul. Had to protect the star.

Funny that came up, in first half on Sunday, I saw Uros waving his arm trying to take credit for someone else/s foul. Unsure who...?
