Michael Bowman, a '15 WR commitment (Rivals 3*) from NC, is accused of stealing iPads and iPods from the school.

Per the linked story, he was working for a company hired to clean the school and "allegedly stole six iPads and two iPods that belonged to Arthur W. Edwards Elementary School. Additionally, Edwards allegedly stole 'eight other iPods belonging to an employee from the school.'"

The school system in my city gave every teacher an iPad at the beginning of last school year to help with teaching and students are allowed to bring their own devices. I'm assuming this school system did the same.
