I was hoping that SC would not look so good but they played pretty well. I hope they do not play us that tough. On the last play against Auburn I think roll out the qb on the 4 and 1 or qb keeper up the middle. thoughts

Not sure if Auburn/LSU are not as good as advertised, or SC is playing a lot better. SC looked terrible opening game against Miss State.

I tend to think Auburn/LSU are not the dominant team everyone thought they were.

The difference is the play at the QB position. That kid looked great for SC. Very ellusive and fast. UT will have thier hands full trying to contain him plus he throws the ball really well. The other scary thing is SC's O-line opened some pretty good holes against a pretty strong AU D-line. UT better get things on track this week cause the next few games are gonna be tough!

SC definitely played well, but I think Auburn (and the West, for that matter) is a little more vulnerable than people think. I think FL has the most balanced team in the SEC. I've said it several times, I don't see how LSU is ranked so much higher than TN, especially now that we see Auburn CAN get scored on (at least, by an East team).

Sylvelle Newton looked very impressive as the starting QB for SC. If SC plays at that level against us, it will be a very hardfought, close game. I despise Steve Spurrier, but I have to give him credit for turning the football program at SC around.

That thought has been lurking around in the back of my mind since that game. The SEC East has been easily the better division over the last couple years, how is the SEC West all of a sudden dominant? It's like people forget that Saban left for the bigs.
