Does this change anyone's outlook for the USCe game?

Connor Shaw - SEC Blog - ESPN

I know it's not definitive, but if South Carolina plays a true freshman at quarterback over a RS Junior, I like our chances a little better.

I realize that there's a possibility that we may well be playing a true freshman QB as well, but I like our chances with Bray better than SC's chances with Shaw.

I didn't see anything there that would lead me to believe Garcia would be second string. SS loves to rattle his qb's cages.

He does this all the time, only problem is it doesn't seem to work with Garcia. South Carolina will still find a way to go 6-0 then wind up 7-5 or 6-6 like normal.

What I find funny is not even two weeks ago I was hearing from SC how Garcia was leaps and bounds better, that he had turned the corner and was looking great. Then Spurrier weighs in and it's apparently the same old same and Garcia's still struggling.

The SC fan base is inexplicably asinine, it's like they have no self awareness as a fan base.

anyone still think south carolina is a 9 or 10 win team?

I don't think there were many around here who ever saw them as a 10 win team.

They are a 6 or 7 win team, like always. Unfortunately, Tennessee is in that same realm if we're lucky.

yeah but there is a major difference in the 2. One is in their prime and one is in a down season. Who is better?

Connor Shaw is a pretty damn good qb. I've seen him play a few times. He's jaybo shaws younger brother. He played wr for his team when jaybo was still at flowery branch. Don't think he'll be the starter but him showing out doesn't surprise me one bit
