yup. don't think it will affect much. at least it points to their program in negative light.

Pat Haden is a terrific choice. A brilliant, insightful guy on TV, I wonder if it took this long for them to talk him into to wading into the cesspool that USC has become.

Orgeron especially wont last long with Haden now in charge. No way those two will get along. Kiffin's leash is definitely tighter today than it was yesterday.

Yep, just a matter of time before these goons are out too.

I can imagine the sweat forming on monte's kid's arrogant, pouty upper lip as some ethics and morality pours into sc's athletic department.

Mr. Haden, Mr. McKay; meet your nightmare jackash of a head football coach, his slimy staff of enablers and his jolly defensive coordinator father(He has good days and bad days.). Have fun and enjoy. Might as well go ahead and do the math on a buyout now.

What's the point of returning the Heisman ? Bush, Leinart, etc. don't care.

Violate On???... probably not on the new sheriff's watch.

The first thing that a new AD always does is assess the program. The second thing he does is hire his own coaches. Its only a matter of time before Lane Kiffin is coaching wide receivers in the NFL with Cheatin' Pete in Seattle.

I thought the story said they were going to "un-retire" his number also, but I could be wrong.. I was headed out to dinner so I'm not sure..

Looks like the other shoe just dropped for Kiffin and all his fans. We'll see.

Karma catches up to those that burn bridges. That leash did get a lot tighter. Anyone want to make wagers on how long it will take for Kiffin to be in hot water? He'll be gone within 3 years. Orgeron is probably on a phone right now looking at his options.

The first round of those "unimportant" secondary violations would be my guess. This will be worth watching.

And, for the poster who surmised that Kifftard (I like that one) will be coaching WRs for the Seahawks in three years, that sounds about right (assuming Carroll is still in Seattle then).

yep, I would really like to know what the new AD thinks of Kifftard & Co.

As another post article noted, Haden was asked if Kiffin was the right person for the USC job, and his reply was, "I think so," not exactly a resounding endorsement, but given the short time frame on the changeover as well as having to evaluate the whole USC program(s), it was the only answer Haden could give. Kiffin is pretty stupid, even though he is smart enough to have fleeced three different organizations for lots of cash and position, but even he had to take note of the "I think so," obviously restrained endorsement.
