What is missing from this report is almost all the assailants were wearing jorts and the ones that weren't were trying to steal some.

WOW!!!

"It seems to me that Meyer took action for the MAJOR problems. And when the charges were dropped for most of the others, there was really no need to take further action. I have always stated that I really don't care about all of the arrests because in the end, they are winning rings."

I think if you look over the list, you will see that each instance of anything other than the most minor of crimes resulted in either a) a suspension; b) a dismissal from the team (particularly if the player committed a second offense; or c) is still being investigated.

In the case of every serious incident, the player is gone.

I agree that the overall character of the players coming to UF is an issue. But I would not agree that Meyer has been inordinately "light" in his punishment when there has been an arrest or an incident.

Except on gun offenses, for which I maintain there should be a zero tolerance policy.

Yes, a news report from 2005 about former players and Coaches is very relevant to the here and now discussion about the current Corch and players at UF.

With that said; it is not our concern. It is for UF fans, Corches, and Administration to address.

When you cannot win on the field, some fans are desperate for anything to crack on a rival. Which is why you see this thread pop up every week or so.

My point VD is that the Vols went through this, Miami, FSU, Oklahoma and on & on. As for the rest of your post, I agree comepletely.

What more did you want Meyer to do? He suspended players for serious offenses, he kicked players off the team. Give me one example of where he did nothing to a player after a SERIOUS ARREST. If it is still being investigated, he really can't do something because they could be trumped up charges like the Carl Johnson psycho ex-girlfriend

LMAO...from 2005? Any players still here from the middle of the deade?

Find all the arrests from the current regime and post back please.

You missed the point. Your beloved Vols had the same issues crop up just a few short years ago. During Tennessee's issues, your own AD and University President said, "there is no systemic problem with the program and college football programs across the country have the same issues with handling young, immature football players. It is a cyclical thing we see."

It's a bit hypocritical of UT fan to pile on- no?

What a joke of a post.
Meyer has suspended a player(s) for specific games. He will not suspend his players for a big game.

What kind of punishment is it to suspend a player for a walk-over team, reinstate him for a rival game, then re-suspend him for another walk-over team?

Interesting how you omit from your post that Meyer has kicked players off the team for various offenses, particularly repeated ones. Last I checked, that means they missed ALL of the games.

But, if it makes you feel better to manufacture an image of Florida as renegade, you go right ahead. While I am on record as having problems with a few of Meyer's decisions, overall I think that portraying Florida's players as out of control or Meyer as too lax just really falls flat in the end.

Yeah- he is a real rebel with those unpaid parking tickets which led to a suspended driver's license. Not quite as bad as sexually assulting your cousin.

Only difference between Daniel Hood and the average Gator fan is consent.
