I found this on a Gator Board on the Sunshine Network Home Page. It is interesting to read their take on the CJ Leak situation, and their chances against UT.

Gunner

"
What Fulmer will do is try and pound us with the run then throw over the top of us.

And that just might work. Lots of bad feelings up there toward the Leak family. Feelings are just that whether they are appropriate or not. I don't understand what the UT fans feel toward the Leaks but I'm not a UT fan.

Think CJ isn't getting a fair shake but that's Fulmers problem. If they lose that game from a mistake by a freshman QB hope they don't blame the freshman.

I agree with you on our WRs we could be very very good this year. Just pay tribute to what Kight and Perez did last year they made a bunch of big plays many I completely forgot about.

Of course if we can't stop the run it really won't matter who Tennessee has handing the ball off.

Right now I'm not excited about our defense. Tennessee will be their big test."
thanks

And they should be concerned. But in all honesty Leak is a glorifed redshirt freshman, who is capable of making those same kind of freshman mistakes.

UGA beat them 15 of 18 prior to this.....so I really dont care about the last few years.

UGA 15 of 18
UF 13 of 14....

Both turned it around at some time

And Georgia has won an SEC lately and UF hasn't.....it will change sooner or later and Gator fans know it

The part of these comments I found to be most interesting were the comments about Leak not getting a fair shake at UT. I think this is the perception of Gators fan who really don't know the situation at UT. In reality CJ is a good athlete with some ability to play QB, but let's be honest Fulmer gave this kid every chance to prove himself as the leader of this team at QB, and he failed to do so.

The writer of that is not very football knowledge to say CJ didn't get a fair shake. Anyone who thinks he didn't should be allowed to post on any board due to their mental midgetry.

No doubt. He has had plenty of chances to show the staff what he can do. He just isn't good enough, but he does seem to have a lot of heart. At least he doesn't have a Dad named 'Juicy' :D

I read somewhere that Leak and his dad knew this was coming back in the spring... when they 1st requested for CJ to be moved to the defensive secondary. Sanders decided to keep him at quarterback then. I guess they weren't sure how far along the freshmen would be?

I heard that. At that point though they had to have somebody prepared to play QB if the freshman weren't ready and he was the best choice we had.

What is Leak, 6-4 and 235 lb safety with 4.5 speed. Broke Tee Martin's weight lifting records for qbs at UT. It may be tough for him to learn the position this quick, but he's got the right size and speed for the NFL at safety. He'll probably get picked up by a team as an undrafted rookie free agent and could develop into a solid db at the next level? Otherwise he could always go to Canada and be a star QB in the CFL

Gator fans opinions on our coaches decisions are about as important as what color underwear I'm wearing... C.J. had plenty of opportunities at QB... I'm looking forward to seeing him on a safety blitz on Chris Leak.

I don't want to pass judgement on CJ or his loyalty to UT, but I think the coaching staff needs to consider that.
