Rivals rankings of Florida prospects has been awful this year.

Not only that they have the #1 player in the state of Georgia as a 3* WTF!

He's not the #1 player. But he's top 5.

The question I have is do you not think they realize this? I feel like they are being stubborn and don't want to adjust their rankings because it would make them look like they were originally "wrong" or something.

I think they realize it and I agree they think it would make them look bad if they were to adjust many of their rankings. They are just behind the 8-ball big-time this season all over the board. Their JUCO rankings are unbelievably bad too.

Brian Randolph is the Gatorade player of the year in Georgia. How does that not make him the #1 recruit in Georgia?

That doesn't have anything to do with how he is rated as a prospect. There have been a few Gatorade Players of the Year from Ohio over the years who never had a single BCS offer. They certainly weren't among the top prospects in the state.

I like Randolph a lot, but he's not the top prospect in Georgia this year.

So Worley is the #1 recruit in South Carolina ahead of Clowney?

Why didn't Clowney win it if he is hands down better than Worley?

I really hope you're not being serious and just argumentative. Gatorade Player of the Year doesn't mean much at all in terms of how good you are as a college prospect. Grades, Teams Success play big factors in selecting guys like that.

As I said Ohio has had Gatorade winners in the past that were not even recruited by a single BCS school.

Academics, team not as successful, etc
GOPY does not at all predict potential. Does award a good year though.

Clowney is the best prospect SC has had in a long long time. That is considering Latt and Jeffrey who are already at SC. Clowney is already built like a NFL lb'er.

the two are not the same thing. winning gatorade awards has nothint to do with being a college prospect...

Clowney deserves to be up there with Adrian Peterson & Jimmy Clausen as the best high school prospect of the last decade.

I love Worley, but come on.

That's already been adressed, I did not know the true meaning of the GPOY award. My mistake.
