75-25% chance to win respectively.

How does Florida respond?
Can Vandy get a win that Mason needs?

I don't think Vandy wins but the Gators need to wake up and get back to playing ball or this could be a lot closer than it should be.

Tennessee's first half against Florida is Vandy's ceiling. Florida is really not bad. Don't see it being close 34-9 final.

Vandy just knows how to lose. They have a rich and storied tradition of losing.

There was a brief period of time where James Franklin seemingly set the program forward a few steps but Derek Mason has proven without a doubt that he's the man to fix that. Losing was a point of emphasis for him from day 1. He opened 2014 with back to back losses and has quickly and quietly amassed a 2-15 conference record. While this record leaves little room for dis-improvement, one can not deny that he started strong in 2016 with a home loss to a woeful South Carolina team. That was not an easy game to lose at all but he got the job not done.

I have no doubt that Coach Mason is well on his way to returning the program back to it's unglory days and thus cementing his legacy as one of the finest worst coaches in Comodorks history. It's my personal opinion that Coach Rod Dowhower couldn't lose to D. Mason on his worst day. We are witnessing history folks. Take it in, take it all in.

Florida 27
Vanderbilt 6

edited - While some may see this score and say that Vandy kicking a pair of field goals is very unlikely...I would wholeheartedly agree. My prediction is based on Jalen Tabor giving up at least one big play and then Vandy missing the p.a.t. Why do I think Jalen Tabor will give up a big play...well, that's just what Jalen Tabor does.

Looking at what Ga Tech did to Vandy's offense, and having seen what UF's offense did in the 1st half last week, I don't see how this is close. I think UF could score 60+. If the bar wasn't so high, this could be one of the greatest defeats in the history of Who You With U.

eh, I really think people underestimate GT. That offense even though it looks simple to defend is really difficult to defend. A lot of teams blow it off and get blown out. Underestimating GT is not something we need to do to start next season.

Derek Mason said something on SECN the other day that blew my mind. During the post game interview he said "to close out September at 2-2 is exactly where we want to be".
I know he coaches at a less than average football school but why say that?

I was think more about the fact that Ga Tech's defense, which I don't put on UF's level, pretty much shut down Vandy. I don't know how Vandy will score points. I do think UF will score. If was coaching Vandy's defense, I would blitz every down this game.

I wish they both could lose, but gators will handle them.

it would be nice if FL loses since that would likely take away any chance they had to take to SEC east from us

Especially when it's not the type of offense you see week in and week out. I'd hate seeing them anywhere near the middle of my schedule if I am an ACC coach.

I think there are more Florida fans in Nashville that Vandy fans. Wonder where all the Gaters went when Cross Corner Grill closed?

I didn't realize it was closed. it was called Tailgaters when it first opened and Cross Corner was originally where Wild Iris is now located. That was the first or second "bar" we had in Brentwood that wasn't part of a private club. Several people I grew up with were among the original bar/kitchen staff. The nuttiest thing about that place is that during their first few years of operation they had to stop serving beer at midnight (local ordinance) but they could serve liquor until 3 am (state law), so it could get pretty ugly late night once everyone drained their last call order and switched to shots.

UF will win easy -- maybe make it close in the 1st half so people will watch and be teased like always with these early start games

I like games like this where if the team that is expected to win wins then it's all good since I hate the underdog and if the upset happens I'm happy to see the misery of the guys that got upset just as much. This is a win win game from a Vol perspective IMO.

That said, I hope they both play like trash and one of them just happens to stumble into the win since we don't do ties anymore.

Nashville/Murfreesboro was loaded with UF fans 2007-2010. Don't see as many now. I think they traded in their UF gear for Bama gear.

It benefits us if gators lose, but there is no way that happens. Appleby played way better than I expected against us.

UF going to take a lot of frustration out on Vandy. I would feel sorry for Vandy, if well .....it wasn't Vandy. I would like to see the Gators lose but at the same time I wouldn't want to hear Vandy fans crow about beating them too.

Coach Mason feed jelly to the Vandy team this morning. Told them they would enjoy some Tabor toast at 11:00
