just be thankfull that florida got the penalty on the personal foul in the last part of the game...even though the ref was standing there looking straight at the both of them , and had to see the vols get the first swing.....

but, on the other hand. I have to give a tip of the hat to wilhoit or how ever you spell his name. congrats on the game saving win...

maybe this will help push the florida gators to get rid of ron zook !!!! I want spurrier back...

Maybe they should have called a double foul, but ya know what, it wouldn't have made a difference. It was still fourth down, and it still stopped the clock. If the zebras missed the call, then, as far as I'm concerned. it evens the score for the Jabar Gafney "touchdown catch" from a few years ago

It was a poor call, but the refs didn't help UT drive down the field, stop the clock, or make the kick from 50 yards out. In the 2000 game UF was given a touchdown to win the game when most agreed that Gaffney didn't make the catch, and it shouldn't have been a touchdown. I'm just glad UT came out on top of the poor call this time. Refs make bad calls, it is part of Football, but in the end UT made the plays to win and UF didn't stop UT.

well , I have to totally agree with you.... yes, that was a awesome 50 yarder game winning kick. we will have to wait till next year... back to rooting on the vols for the rest of the seaon... I am a vol fan except for 1 game out of the year. wich you guessed it. FLORIDA &#33;&#33;&#33; But, I have been a gator fan for years way befor spurrier. But all in all ,this season I was happy either way . Now , hopefully ZOOK gets the
:flush: and bring back Spurrier ..... congrads on a superior game, even thou the Refs , couldn&#39;t get it together....

Do us a favor and make sure you take care of Georgia. I know we plan on it. They need to be put back in their rightful place in the SEC East......third.

I&#39;m not going to argue right or wrong on that call by the ref&#39;s,all I care is in the end we got the win.S--T HAPPENS.

I&#39;ve heard more than one person say that the first slap was by the Florida player... it just was not shown on TV. The Tennessee player retaliated.... and then when the Florida player did the head slap, which was hit number two by him, that is when the official threw the flag. My thoughts are that officials let a little of that stuff go, especially during a crucial point in the game... but that last head slap was pretty vicious looking.... probably looked worse than it really was... so I don&#39;t fault the call. That is a judgement call and that is why Bobby Gaston will not comment on the call itself. :dunno:

The other issue is the timing issue. If there was only 20 seconds total for the last drive.... I don&#39;t think the Vols would have thrown a 7 yard pass to get into field goal range because the clock would have run out. Remember, there was about 30 seconds remaining when Ainge threw the 7 yard pass and the clock ran down to 13 seconds. It took roughly 13 seconds to run 3 plays... 2 incompletions and the 1 completion for 21 yards to the UF 40. 1 of the incompletions was a spike to stop the clock. There still would have been roughly 7 seconds to throw a 10-yard 1st down pass (not 7 yards) then spike the ball again to set up a 47-yd field goal. The gators can speculate all they want about the time, but I think it was the Vols destiny to win the game and they would have won it no matter the outcome of the timing call.

Yeah . . . nobody really wants to talk about the possibility that if the penalty was not called, we still had time to hit a deep ball or a couple of 15-20 yard routes and then kick a FG anyway. It definitely would have been a lot harder, but with those receivers and the way Ainge was going, who&#39;s to say that it wouldn&#39;t have happened?&#33;

karma, After the Gator Punted the ball into the stands over and over during warm-ups and hitting a mother carrying a child it cost the whole team&#33;

For some reason, I remember Tee Martin getting hit with a cheap shot after a play was over and out of bounds in 2000 that was never called. He had to play the rest of the game and season with a separated shoulder.

I read even more whining on another message board. And you know what... the Gators can kiss my :moon2:

The cheap hit on Tee coupled with the phantom catch by Gaffney..... I&#39;ll proudly take this 30-28 victory&#33; They can cry all season until they finish with 5 losses again for all I care.
