I was taken back a little by that quote as well.Coach Meyer: "I'm very pleased with the leadership that the team is providing right now; there are examples all over the place. One of the more notable examples being when the young freshman Percy Harvin scored a touchdown and threw the ball on the ground and we don't do that here. We throw the ball to the official and we have a rule that you go find a lineman and give him a hug..."
So that's what he's been teachin those boys down there! :lolabove:
I'm not sure but I'd say there's no more than 3 inches of air space between them.If LG sees this I'm sure he'll have some kind of excuse.................Not that it will be valid.![]()
Meyer has a GREAT relationship with his players - as good leaders often do. OTOH, it hasn't been uncommon to see players look away from Fulmer when he's calling them out (a sign of disrespect). You won't see that with Meyer and his players. If you do, you won't see that player back in the game before the matter has been settled.
Fulmer CAN'T get that close to his players - at least not face-to-face. I won't dwell on why.
