Heading to UNC as the defensive coordinator, per Joe Schad and Football Scoop.

That's certainly a position to aspire to.

Is blue font needed?

He probably took it because Fedora is setting the bar so low he could be the next HC.

It became pretty obvious he wasn't the reason Auburn was good. Surprised anyone wanted him.

Just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. UNC is going to be done once the NCAA gets a hold of them.

I'll give Gene this- he hired good people. He hired Malzahn when I desperately wanted Fulmer to.

Thigpen and Martinez were with him at AU. Wonder if he will make a run at Thigpen since it is were he went to school?

No. Malzahn was at Auburn in 2009. The misinformation on this site is atrocious.

Think he's referring to 2008 when we hired Clawson instead. Gus had just finished his first year at Tulsa.

Your point doesn't make sense anyways since Fulmer wasn't at UT in 2009.

That's what I'm saying. That Malzahn(or Chizik) didn't get to Auburn until Fulmer had been fired.

And Gus' only year at Tulsa was 2008. He was at Arkansas the two years prior.

No he wasn't. He was at Arkansas in 2006 only. Tulsa in 2007-2008. Folks wanted him hired in 2008 after Tulsa had the nation's #1 offense in 2007. Fulmer theoretically could have hired him going into the 2008 season. Doubt he was even considered though.
